We are excited to share some wonderful news with our patients and community — Fair Oaks Optometry Group is now Sunset Optometry!

On August 1, 2025, Dr. Camille Weissenberg became the proud new owner of the practice, succeeding the esteemed Dr. Wesley Umeda and Dr. David Lau. Both Dr. Umeda and Dr. Lau have provided decades of exceptional, compassionate eye care to the Fair Oaks community, and their legacy will continue to inspire everything we do.

What does this mean for our patients?

• You will continue to receive the same high-quality, personalized eye care you’ve always known and trusted.
• Many of the same friendly faces are still here to welcome you. Dr. Umeda is still seeing patients. Dr. Lau has retired as of 12/2024, but he still stops in from time-to-time to say hello to everyone.
• We are introducing new technology and fresh updates to the office while keeping the warm, comfortable atmosphere you’ve come to love.
